The race is so close that the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee has placed it on their Red to Blue program, one of only 35 in the country to be targeted!
Chris Van Hollen, the chair of the DCCC, speaking of Alan's performance in the Democratic primary, said, "He was the perceived underdog, yet he ran a very good campaign." He also observed that Ric Keller's poor showing in the Republican primary was a sign of "great weakness."
