Together, progressive Democrats Alan Grayson and Homer Hartage received well over 50 percent of the District 8 Congressional Democratic Primary vote in 2006.  Alan is proud to be endorsed by a fellow progressive Democrat.  Since Commissioner Hartage has decided not to run again, Alan is the only progressive Democrat in this race.

Hartage served eight years as District 6 Commissioner, until term limits ended his public service.  Hartage was known for his success in improving health, transportation, education, safety and public services.  His relief work following Hurricane Katrina, and for the destitute people of Haiti, was widely admired.
